Angelyn Liu – IT Project Manager

Angelyn Liu

Having gone to Georgia Tech when the male:female ratio was less than 3:1, and seeing how females in IT have typically been a minority in the past, but encouraged by the increase of women in IT and STEM disciplines today, I am confident that minorities of any race and color can be successful in STEM. When awareness, encouragement, education, and sponsorship is available, there are no limits to what can be achieved. I am glad my father, who is a retired computer programmer / software engineer, encouraged me to take computer science classes in college, even though my major was not hard-core STEM. It paved the way to my first job with IBM and my 14 years of work in IT.
